Adam and Charles Black 1934 First Edition Hardback without dust wrapper. Good to Very Good Illustrated with stunningly good sepia plates 
Exceptional provenance; there are three bookplates on the front endpapers, one of which is a prize label for Anthony Elgar, for a snapshot competition, the other (and I quote) Anthony Charles Elgar / Flight-Sergeant Pilot, RAFVR / Born December 30th, 1921 / Killed on Operations December 20th 1942 / this book was his. / It is passed on to you / for use and enjoyment / In Memory The third is the bookplate of one of his relatives, who obviously inherited the book. Spine and covers faded, some wear to corners and spine ends. 489004
